This is just me talking

Intelligence is no longer exclusively human. The robots learn without human input…

How incredible is it that we’ve progressed to the point where we can create AI that is nearly indistinguishable from real life? If you’re in the field of data science, machine learning, or AI, you’ve probably heard the term “Neural Networks” a million, if not a billion, times.

To put it another way, Neural Networks are a very reduced, digital depiction of the human brain. We have made systems that can simulate the 85 billion neurons in the brain, which are always talking to each other and processing, analyzing, and sending information. Quite interesting, wouldn’t you say?

What, therefore, are the strongest structures? When humans and machines work together, good things can happen. One of the most widespread misunderstandings about artificial intelligence is the existence of a super-intelligent being, or generalized AI, that is capable of anything and is smarter than all humans put together.

But there’s no denying that AI needs humans; it mimics our thought process; it’s essentially just a copy of us. Collaborative human effort has always been a driving force in history, but it will be human interaction with intelligent machines that defines the future period.

According to the laws of physics, we can’t be in two places at once, but with AI, it’s quite possible. Avatars, which are essentially digital doubles, are within our reach. The term “data and identity mirage” describes the situation well.

BUT…

Will AI take over and make humans obsolete?

Perhaps I’m wrong, but one thing I’m positive of is that AI will make people’s lives better. Can we develop AI that can make educated guesses? Is there a really independent, artificial duplicate of myself? While I sleep, I become a me that can think independently.

Impossible?

And yet, think of everything that has been done by human cooperation: the moon landing, the decoding of the human genome, the discovery of distant galaxies, etc. In comparison to the “earth is flat” group, I rather like Mark and Gill.
